Study & Pro Bono

Increasingly, law schools are requiring students to undertake pro bono work during their BVC or LPC and this trend is expected to extend to all professional course providers over the coming years. Many universities now offer internships during the initial law degree and students are often encouraged to undertake voluntary work during their degree to build skills for their c.v.

Law degrees and professional courses alike offer an opportunity to undertake part-time pro bono work in one or more organisations whilst you already have accommodation and living costs covered through however you choose to finance your course. Such part time experience will stand you in good stead for later scholarship applications as you will be able to demonstrate an ongoing interest in pro bono work.

Keep checking this page as we hope to add profiles of the individual law schools and institutions offering pro bono opportunities during your law degree, BVC or LPC. For those of you keen to participate in pro bono work as early as possible in your legal career, these profiles should help you to easily compare pro bono opportunities and requirements at the different law schools you may be considering.
